Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures, while ensuring data quality and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines and architectures
- Create, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries for data management and validation
- Manage data ingestion, mapping, transformation, integration, and production support
- Monitor data workflows to ensure data quality, consistency, reliability, and security
- Troubleshoot data issues and support backend data applications
- Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and software engineers to deliver data solutions
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions
- Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
- Mentor junior engineers and promote data engineering best practices
- Provide production and occasional after-hours/weekend support when required
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Analysis
- Strong Healthcare domain experience, including Medical Claims and Pharmacy Claims
- Expertise in SQL/PL-SQL, data integration, data quality, and data validation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of hands-on SQL/PL-SQL experience
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Neo4j
- Knowledge of cloud and big data technologies including Databricks, AWS, Azure, Spark, Hadoop, and Snowflake
- Experience with JIRA and Agile/SAFe methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
