Nava is a consultancy and public benefit corporation focused on modernizing government services. They are seeking a Technical Product Manager to support platform enablement, infrastructure, and DevSecOps for application development teams in a federal technology environment.
Responsibilities:
- Help application development teams understand and prioritize needs related to shared platform and infrastructure capabilities
- Structure incoming requests into clear problems, requirements, backlog items, decisions, and follow-up actions
- Partner with technical leads to translate DevSecOps, infrastructure, reliability, operational readiness, and security/compliance work into product outcomes and stakeholder-facing artifacts
- Help balance urgent team-specific support requests with investments in reusable patterns, standards, documentation, automation, and shared services
- Support roadmap, backlog, intake, prioritization, documentation, and communication practices for shared platform services
- Facilitate alignment across project, application development teams, Nava, partner contractors, delivery leadership, and technical stakeholders
- Help make platform value visible through clear service definitions, adoption signals, operational metrics, risk summaries, and stakeholder updates
- Support transition, onboarding, knowledge transfer, and operational-readiness artifacts as platform services evolve
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as Senior or Principal level product management, technical product ownership, or closely related experience
- Experience working on platform, infrastructure, DevSecOps, cloud, reliability, internal tools, developer experience, enterprise software, or other technical products
- Experience with AI-enabled product delivery, AI platform enablement, responsible AI governance, or infrastructure support for teams building AI-enabled products
- Strong ability to turn ambiguous technical work into clear priorities, roadmaps, workflows, artifacts, requirements, and decision points
- Comfort working closely with engineers, architects, delivery leads, security/compliance stakeholders, and client partners
- Ability to balance stakeholder needs, delivery capacity, governance, security, operational risk, and cost
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong facilitation skills in multi-team environments with evolving priorities
- Ability to meet public trust clearance requirements
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to meet any other requirements for government contracts for which candidates are hired
- Work authorization that doesn't require visa sponsorship, now or in the future
- May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract
- CMS, Medicare, healthcare, claims modernization, or federal contracting experience
- Experience with internal platforms, shared services, developer experience, or enablement teams
- Familiarity with AWS, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, observability, incident response, reliability engineering, or production readiness
- Familiarity with security/compliance workflows, Authority to Operate support, Information Systems Security Officer partnership, vulnerability remediation, or governance processes
- Experience using adoption metrics, operational metrics, support metrics, or service-level indicators to guide product decisions
- Experience supporting legacy-to-cloud modernization or complex multi-vendor environments
