Empowered Cooks is looking for a highly organized and assertive Project Launch Manager to oversee the product-launch process. The role involves coordinating the team, establishing ownership and deadlines, and ensuring products are launched successfully.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the complete project plan for every active product
- Translate product goals into clear milestones, tasks, owners, dependencies, and deadlines
- Coordinate work across:
- Amazon strategy and account management
- Product design and engineering
- Prototyping and sampling
- Branding, graphics, and packaging
- Factory sourcing and supplier agreements
- Production, quality assurance, and testing
- Freight, logistics, and inventory arrival
- Amazon and Shopify launch preparation
- Work with team members every day to ensure meaningful progress is being made
- Keep project management tool accurate and current so leadership can immediately see:
- Current status
- Work completed
- Next action
- Responsible owner
- Due date
- Blockers
- Decisions needed
- Challenge vague updates and clarify exactly what is required next
- Identify stalled work before leadership has to discover it
- Determine why a project is stuck and create a recovery plan
- Reset commitments, reorganize priorities, call working sessions, and coordinate additional support when necessary
- Reject incomplete project updates or deliverables and return them to the appropriate owner for completion
- Make sure handoffs between departments happen clearly and on time
- Escalate recurring performance concerns with specific documentation and a recommended response
- Coordinate timely decisions from company leadership without allowing routine approvals to become bottlenecks
- Lead weekly portfolio reviews with the company owners
- Complete a post-launch review covering performance, customer feedback, quality issues, and lessons for future launches
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience managing projects involving multiple people, departments, vendors, or external partners
- Experience maintaining detailed project plans in software such as Shortcut, Jira, Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com, or a comparable system
- Experience holding contributors accountable for deadlines and deliverables
- Strong written English and the ability to communicate status, ownership, risk, and next steps clearly
- Experience independently diagnosing stalled projects and driving them back into motion
