Turtle Rock Studios is a game development company dedicated to creating engaging gaming experiences. They are seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager to develop and manage content that connects their games and studio with players and the community, while also maintaining brand voice and standards across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute content calendars across social media, blog posts, newsletters, press materials, and web copy
- Write, edit, and proofread public-facing content including announcements, patch notes, dev blogs, and marketing copy
- Collaborate with game designers, artists, and producers to translate development updates into player-friendly narratives
- Partner with the community team to ensure messaging aligns with player sentiment and community needs
- Coordinate with external partners (publishers, agencies, influencers) on co-marketing content and campaigns
- Maintain brand voice and editorial standards across all public communications
- Manage content production timelines, ensuring materials are ready ahead of key beats (launches, updates, events)
- Analyze content performance metrics and adjust strategy based on engagement data
- Assist in scripting and reviewing video content, trailers, and livestream materials
- Stay current on gaming industry trends, competitor content strategies, and platform best practices
- Playtest with the studio and respective teams to share playtest feedback to help enhance player experience
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or editorial roles, ideally within gaming or entertainment
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong portfolio of public-facing work
- Experience managing content calendars and cross-functional production pipelines
- Familiarity with social media platforms, CMS tools, and basic analytics reporting
- Strong understanding of gaming culture, community dynamics, and player psychology
- Ability to adapt tone and style across multiple formats and audiences
- Excellent collaboration skills and comfort working with technical and creative teams alike
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience working on live-service or multiplayer titles
- Basic video editing or scripting experience
- Familiarity with PR processes and press outreach
