Reddit, Inc. is a community-driven platform that fosters open and authentic conversations. They are seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the strategy for Reddit's Games Ecosystem, focusing on integrating games into the community and creator platform while enhancing user engagement and participation.
Responsibilities:
- Define the product strategy for Games Ecosystem, including how games fit into Reddit's communities, creator platform, and long-term growth strategy
- Identify the highest-leverage opportunities across player experience, community participation, creator/developer enablement, game discovery, retention, and ecosystem quality
- Build a roadmap that balances consumer-facing experiences, community-native features, creator/developer tools, platform capabilities, and ecosystem programs
- Help communities become richer destinations for game-related participation, including discussion, identity, events, social play, creator content, and other repeatable engagement loops
- Improve how high-quality games and game-adjacent experiences are discovered, distributed, and revisited across Reddit
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, ML/ranking, DevRel, Community, Partnerships, Trust/Safety, Policy, and other teams to ship durable ecosystem improvements
- Work with creators, developers, studios, moderators, and community builders to understand what makes games successful on Reddit and where the platform is creating friction
- Define the right measurement framework for player value, community value, builder success, experience quality, retention, discovery, and ecosystem health
- Create clear investment frameworks that help leadership decide when to build natively, support creators/developers, partner externally, improve platform primitives, or stop lower-impact work
- Lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity and help them move from broad strategy to concrete shipped product
Requirements:
- Experience leading ambiguous product strategy in games, communities, creator ecosystems, developer platforms, social products, marketplaces, entertainment, or consumer growth
- Strong product sense for what makes games and game-adjacent experiences compelling, repeatable, social, and community-native
- Ability to reason across multiple sides of an ecosystem: players, fans, communities, moderators, creators, developers, partners, and internal teams
- Comfort with both consumer product questions and technical platform questions, even if your background is deeper in one than the other
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative evidence to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and measure whether a product loop is working
- Strong cross-functional leadership across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Community, DevRel, Partnerships, Policy, Trust/Safety, and senior leadership
- Excellent written communication and decision frameworks that help teams align around ambiguous opportunities
- Curiosity about games, fandoms, creator tools, AI-assisted creation, developer ecosystems, online communities, and the future of participatory entertainment
