Prometheum is a fintech company specializing in digital asset securities, founded in 2017. They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to oversee product areas related to trading operations, settlement, and treasury management, ensuring smooth operational flow and compliance in their broker-dealer activities.
Responsibilities:
- Own product areas end-to-end - across trading operations, settlement/clearing, and treasury & cash management - from discovery and requirements through launch, working closely with engineering and design in a fast-moving, startup environment
- Define and specify settlement, clearing, and reconciliation workflows, including end-of-day cash and position reporting, back-office, and reconciliation between internal ledgers and books-and-records systems
- Own treasury and cash-management features: bank and internal account provisioning, cash balances and positions, journal entries, and cash allocations across firm and client accounts
- Onboard and integrate trading venues and counterparties (exchanges, liquidity providers, clearing banks), including deposit/settlement account setup and correspondent clearing flows
- Partner with stakeholders, engineers, and designers to write clear Business Requirements (BRDs) and Product Requirements (PRDs) that translate business goals into actionable specs
- Serve as the product point of contact for operations, treasury, on post-trade, settlement, and cash-operations questions
- Define product features and roadmap priorities, balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform scalability
- Maintain fluency in financial data structures (chart of accounts, account mappings, debit/credit posting logic) and validate changes across QA, UAT, and production
- Maintain clean, traceable documentation of features, user stories, and tasks in Jira and Confluence
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (broker-dealers, financial institutions) to communicate requirements, manage timelines, and support testing
- Create and maintain product documentation, user guides, and release notes for platform updates and operational flows
- Track product metrics and use data to assess feature adoption, surface insights, and inform next priorities
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in product management or business analysis, ideally at a fintech company, startup, or high-growth technology platform
- Hands-on experience with post-trade, settlement, clearing, or treasury/cash-management products at a broker-dealer, exchange, custodian, or fintech platform
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and money movement — trade settlement, clearing, reconciliation, cash allocations, and end-of-day reporting
- Comfort working with financial ledgers and account structures (chart of accounts, debit/credit logic, reconciliations)
- Comfortable with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product tooling (Jira, Confluence, product analytics platforms)
- Awareness of regulated financial environments and compliance requirements (FINRA, SEC) is a plus, but a willingness to learn in a highly regulated space matters more than years in traditional finance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can work effectively with both engineers and business stakeholders
- Proven ability to write user stories, process flows, and product documentation that a cross-functional team can execute against
- Ability to translate complex financial or regulatory requirements into clear, shippable product specs
- Prior experience at a fintech startup, challenger bank, or 0→1 product environment where you helped build something from scratch
- Knowledge of digital assets, blockchain technology, or cryptocurrency platforms
- Familiarity with clearing and settlement systems, introducing broker relationships, or broker-dealer operations
- Familiarity with BAI/bank file formats, SFTP-based back-office exchange, or end-of-day reconciliation processes
- Exposure to SEC 15c3-3 reserve/PAB account concepts or other regulated cash-segregation requirements
- Experience onboarding exchange or liquidity-provider (venue) integrations
- Experience working with API integrations and modern web application architectures
- Comfort operating in ambiguity — you know how to make progress when the path isn't fully defined yet
