Terracon is a 100 percent employee-owned multidiscipline consulting firm focused on solving engineering and technical challenges. They are seeking an experienced Program Manager with a geotechnical background to manage and oversee a range of projects within National Account programs, ensuring successful execution and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Manage large-scale projects or National Account Programs, coordinating and leading multiple individual projects with dedicated project managers
- Work closely with clients to define project scope, scale, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with client needs and expectations
- Lead interactions with clients, stakeholders, and project managers to ensure program and project coordination, management, and delivery meet client and stakeholder requirements
- Design, communicate, and execute project/program management plans, including schedules, quality plans, and delivery strategies for National Account Programs and projects
- Lead safety efforts, ensuring compliance with approved safety plans and maintaining a safe work environment for all projects
- Resolve operational problems and concerns across multiple project interfaces, working collaboratively with local operations
- Identify, develop, and gather key resources to lead individual projects, ensuring a skilled and capable project team
- Oversee the preparation, design, and development of work specifications, schedules, budgets, and forecasts, selecting appropriate materials, equipment, and project staff
- Estimate costs, resources, and time requirements, preparing accurate forecasts and managing scope and schedule to meet budget constraints
- Monitor project activities, allocate resources effectively, and assign tasks to ensure project targets and milestones are met
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history, enabling travel to offices and project sites as required
- Ability to travel multiple times a year to attend meetings, site visits, and project-related activities
- Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer certification, ensuring a deep understanding of Terracon's project review processes
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and mentor project managers and local operations teams
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
- A proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, with a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as strong MS Office skills, is essential
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred, demonstrating advanced project management skills and knowledge
- Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or similar professional registration/certification is advantageous, particularly for those managing projects related to these disciplines
