Cracker Barrel is a well-established company known for its warm hospitality and delicious food. They are seeking a Business Analyst to partner with various stakeholders, translating business objectives into actionable requirements and supporting digital initiatives to enhance customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise, including business teams, Digital, IT, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, Customer Experience, Support, and vendor or agency partners, to understand business objectives, pain points, opportunities, and desired outcomes
- Facilitate discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, and cross-functional working sessions to identify needs, define scope, clarify priorities, and drive alignment
- Translate business objectives into clear, actionable requirements, user stories, business rules, workflow diagrams, process documentation, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and measurable success criteria
- Work with product owners, architects, developers, QA, project managers, support teams, and external partners to ensure requirements are complete, understood, feasible, testable, and aligned to enterprise standards
- Identify assumptions, risks, constraints, dependencies, impacts, edge cases, exception scenarios, and open decisions across teams, systems, processes, and customer touchpoints
- Support web and digital initiatives by helping define capabilities related to content, search, personalization, commerce or ordering flows, loyalty experiences, customer account functionality, analytics, accessibility, SEO, and operational support needs
- Document current-state and future-state processes, user journeys, system interactions, data flows, and handoffs to support solution design, delivery, testing, training, and operational readiness
- Collaborate with UX, design, content, analytics, technical, and business teams to ensure requirements reflect user needs, business outcomes, operational considerations, and technical dependencies
- Create, refine, and maintain epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation in partnership with product owners and delivery teams
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, release planning, UAT planning, and other delivery ceremonies as needed
- Partner with QA and business stakeholders to define test scenarios, review test coverage, support UAT, prioritize defects, resolve requirement questions, and support go/no-go recommendations
- Support release readiness by confirming requirements coverage, stakeholder alignment, UAT readiness, business process impacts, communications, training needs, and support considerations
- Support post-launch validation by comparing delivered functionality and performance against agreed success criteria and identifying opportunities for optimization
- Create and maintain clear documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences, including meeting notes, decision logs, process flows, requirement summaries, readiness materials, and support handoffs
- Build trusted relationships across internal teams and external partners to promote collaboration, accountability, shared ownership, and successful business outcomes
- Understand and comply with all company privacy, security, accessibility, change management, and technology standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience
- 1-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role supporting web, digital, customer experience, ecommerce, or enterprise technology initiatives
- Experience gathering and documenting requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting UAT, and working with business and technical stakeholders
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
- Agile/Scrum certification
- Product Owner certification
- related certification preferred but not required
