MDaudit is a company focused on maximizing revenue for healthcare organizations across the country, and they are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full release lifecycle, building CI/CD automation, and ensuring the reliability of software deployments across a multi-tenant, HIPAA-regulated platform.
Responsibilities:
- Own deployments end-to-end across UAT, pre-production, and production environments, coordinating release readiness with development teams and securing final sign-off from engineering leadership
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to streamline how teams ship to AWS
- Apply deployment practices (e.g., rolling releases) that minimize customer impact
- Manage database deployments as part of every release — propagating schema and data changes consistently across all customer databases
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand their release needs and reduce friction in the path to production
- Monitor API observability dashboards (CloudWatch, SigNoz) and triage issues to the appropriate development team as needed
- Drive the evolution from manual deployment processes to automated, gated pipelines — including rollback mechanisms and pre/post-deployment validation to protect against release failures
- Make targeted Infrastructure as Code changes (Terraform) when needed to support deployment and release workflows
- Contribute to SLI/SLO definition and participate in post-incident reviews and root-cause analysis
- Partner with the Security and Infrastructure team on provisioning needs and contribute to infrastructure changes when required to support application deployments
- Engineering: partner day-to-day with development teams on release planning, deployment readiness, and post-release validation
- Security: coordinate on change management, access controls, secrets handling, and vulnerability remediation
- IT / Infrastructure: work with the internal Infra team on AWS provisioning needs, networking, and platform-level dependencies
- Offshore vendor partners: coordinate hand-offs, deployment windows, and shared triage workflows across time zones
- Data & Analytics: coordinate deployment scheduling to avoid conflicts with existing data pipelines, ETL jobs, and scheduled processes
- Author runbooks, deployment checklists, and operational documentation so release knowledge is shared and repeatable
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong working knowledge of the AWS ecosystem (compute, networking, IAM, storage, monitoring)
- Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines; Azure DevOps experience is a strong plus
- Scripting proficiency in at least one of: PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Comfort operating in a .NET Core application environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including running schema/data migrations and propagating database changes across multiple customer databases
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Demonstrated experience modernizing manual or legacy deployment processes into automated CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments (dev, UAT, pre-production, production)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug across applications, pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and coordinate with engineering, product, security, and vendor partners
- Hands-on ownership mindset — comfortable being the single point of accountability for releases and driving issues to resolution. This role is for engineers who thrive in the trenches, not at the whiteboard
- Comfortable with occasional off-hours deployment windows; we schedule releases in advance and work to minimize disruption to personal time
- Prior experience in a regulated environment (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2)
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps)
- Experience with observability tooling such as SigNoz, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic
- Exposure to containerized workloads (ECS, EKS, Docker)
- Working knowledge of Linux administration and command-line tooling
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock or AI/LLM integration patterns
- Familiarity with database deployment and migration tooling such as Liquibase, Redgate, Flyway, or DbUp
