Azure DevOps Engineer

Alight Solutions is a company that believes success starts with its people and is passionate about connecting purpose with impact. They are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities supporting healthcare applications.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing and governing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including modules, state management, and CI enforcement
• Driving compliance alignment across DevOps processes to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, and using CheckMarx, SonarQube internal security standards, focusing on access control, auditability, and PHI safeguards
• Automating deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability across distributed cloud services, familiar with containerized workloads is a plus
• Collaborating with security, compliance, and audit teams to support continuous monitoring, evidence gathering, and security assessments
• Delivering infrastructure and application deployments during weekend release windows as required; participate in an on-call rotation
• Enforcing and contributing to engineering standards, best practices, and technical design reviews
• Troubleshooting and remediate complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes
• Includes weekend work for planned releases and on-call rotations

Requirements:

• 3+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience, with at least 3 years hands-on experience in both Azure and AWS
• Demonstrate expertise with YAML-based pipelines (multi-stage, reusable templates, variable groups, environments)
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub/GitHub Actions for CI/CD, repository management, and pipelines governance
• Proficiency abilities using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Demonstrate expertise with Azure Cosmo DB, Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS), or GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux)
• Maintain experience with observability tools such as Azure Application Insight, New Relic, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch
• Have completed a program of study typically requiring four years of post-secondary education or higher educational attainment in Computer Science or technical related field
• Have certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400
