About this role
Crown Point Technologies, LLC is an Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) dedicated to providing critical full-stack software development and data engineering solutions and services to both Government and commercial clients. They are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the modernization of a mission-critical government information system by automating deployments and managing infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Automate deployments across development, test, and production environments
- Manage Nexus Repository for artifact storage and dependency management
- Develop infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and/or Terraform
- Build and maintain Apache Solr clusters with Zookeeper
- Administer Windows Server environments and support infrastructure upgrades
- Plan and execute migrations from VMware-based infrastructure to AWS
- Configure and manage AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, and S3
- Support containerization of Java applications
- Implement configuration management and infrastructure automation
- Apply security best practices across on-premises and cloud environments
- Monitor and optimize system performance
Requirements:
- 13+ years of professional DevOps, Systems Administration, or related IT experience
- A Bachelor's degree may substitute for 4 years of experience
- A Master's degree may substitute for 6 years of experience
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Experience managing Nexus Repository
- Experience building and maintaining Apache Solr clusters with Zookeeper
- Strong Windows Server administration experience
- Strong experience with AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, and S3
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and/or Terraform
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
- Experience migrating applications from VMware to AWS
- Experience containerizing Java applications
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Experience implementing security best practices in hybrid cloud environments
