Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 1) - 29566

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Innovation Research and Development Programs. The role involves planning, executing, and evaluating complex technical solutions while maintaining liaison with staff and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Researches, plans, designs, verifies, and validates mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy
• Researches, plans, designs, verifies, and validates materials technologies; data and information systems and processes; and manufacturing technologies and methods
• Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs. May be responsible for assisting with the transfer from R&D to manufacturing
• Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques

Requirements:

• 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field
• Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET government security clearance
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
• Excellent customer and organizational level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 2 years experience with Bachelors in related field or 0 years experience with Masters in related field
• Experience supporting multiple projects/priorities preferred
