Infrastructure Services Lead Project Manager

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Lead Project Manager to join their program supporting the biomedical research community for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. The Lead Project Manager will oversee specific projects, ensuring they are managed in accordance with federal policies and regulations while leading project teams through their lifecycles.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee specific projects within the NHLBI IT support services program
• Ensure projects are planned, managed, monitored, and completed in accordance with NHLBI, NIH, HHS, and federal government policies and regulations
• Lead project teams through project lifecycles while adhering to established schedules, scope, costs, and risk management
• Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders and provide updates on project milestones, issues, and risks

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree and at least five years of experience managing multiple and simultaneous IT projects involving infrastructure, service desk, and cybersecurity
• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior project managers
• Must be proficient in Agile, Kanban/Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies and experienced with project management tools like Atlassian Jira, MS Project, and Smartsheet
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
• PMP or equivalent certification is strongly preferred
• Experience working with NIH, government, or biomedical research setting
