Position OverviewThe IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer will manage and support the site's local manufacturing infrastructure while serving as the primary liaison to Global IT teams. This role bridges the gap between Automation systems and underlying compute, storage, and network platforms within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Operations: Manage and maintain IT/OT infrastructure supporting manufacturing platforms (IMS, MES, DCS, SCADA, OSI PI Historian, DeltaV, Syncade/PharmaSuite).
Virtualization & Compute: Administer VMware hypervisors, control system virtualization, storage capacity planning, and server hardware/software upgrades.
Security & Access: Support Active Directory, firewall policy configurations, user account administration, and Zero Trust security implementations in partnership with Cybersecurity teams.
Disaster Recovery & Backups: Execute and test robust data backup, recovery management, and disaster recovery strategies for manufacturing systems.
Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve ServiceNow incidents, requests, and problems associated with site infrastructure and database systems (MS SQL Server).
Compliance & Validation: Ensure all activities adhere to Computer System Validation (CSV), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and site change control protocols.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting automation/OT infrastructure, ideally within a Pharmaceutical/GMP regulated environment.
Virtualization: Deep, hands-on expertise with VMware hypervisors for managing virtualized control system workloads.
Systems & Admin: Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and MS SQL Server.
Backup & DR: Proven track record implementing high-availability (HA) clustering, backups, and disaster recovery solutions.
Networking & OT: Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, firewalls, IIoT gateways, Edge Computing, and control system networks.
Experience with Composable Infrastructure, Next-Gen Antivirus (EDR/XDR), or orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Relevant Certifications: VCAP, CCNA, MCSE, CISSP, GICSP, or ISA/IEC 62443.
