Manager or Senior Manager, Product Development Role

The Manager or Senior Manager of Product Development will lead cross-functional projects from concept through launch, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering relationships with external partners.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional product development projects from concept through launch, ensuring projects stay on track and key milestones are met
• Lead weekly R&D meetings, providing project updates, documenting action items, and proactively removing roadblocks
• Oversee clinical and consumer testing programs to support product validation and launch readiness
• Source innovative ingredients, packaging, materials, and suppliers while balancing quality, cost, and sustainability
• Manage Product Information Files (PIFs), CPNP submissions, safety testing, and regulatory documentation
• Ensure products comply with applicable regulatory and quality standards, including FDA, USDA, COSMOS, EWG, ISO, and PETA requirements
• Research consumer trends, competitive products, and emerging innovations to inform product development decisions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, testing labs, and other external partners
• Attend industry events as needed and identify opportunities to bring new ideas and innovations to market

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as a research assistant, or experience preferably at a manufacturing facility or in-house beauty brand
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Food Science, or a related technical field
• Demonstrated success leading multiple product launches from concept through commercialization
• Strong project management skills with experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using project management and product lifecycle management tools (Monday.com)
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment is strongly preferred
