Software Engineer II - FlightAware (Remote)

Collins Aerospace is part of the aviation industry, and they are seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the next generation of FlightAware’s website. The role involves building and maintaining web applications while using emerging and traditional technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Create robust and scalable website features that showcase our world-class data for end users
• Build and maintain reusable UI components across our products
• Detect issues, identify their root causes, develop fixes, and design auditing to prevent future occurrences
• Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance products from the API to the front end

Requirements:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
• Development experience with at least one back end focused language
• Development experience with at least one front end focused language
• Development experience with at least one front end framework like React, Angular, or Vue
• You write excellent, well-documented, and highly testable code
• Experience building, scaling, and maintaining production web or SaaS applications
• Development experience with TypeScript or modern JavaScript
• Development experience with Python, Golang, or Rust
• Experience with containerization
