Software Engineering Apprentice — LUNARTECH — USA

LunarTech is an AI-focused company building software and production-grade systems. The part-time, remote Software Engineering Apprentice role provides hands-on experience developing and maintaining software components while supporting projects across LunarTech’s AI ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the development and maintenance of software components
• Assisting in coding, testing, and debugging applications
• Working with databases and Linux-based environments under the guidance of senior engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Participate in code reviews
• Help document technical processes and system behaviors
• Learning best practices in software development, version control, and basic deployment workflows
• Supporting projects across LunarTech’s AI ecosystem

Requirements:

• foundational skills in Software Development and Programming, including familiarity with modern development practices and version control tools
• practical experience or coursework in Databases, including understanding of data modeling, queries, and basic optimization concepts
• skills in Linux, including command-line usage, file system navigation, and basic scripting or configuration tasks
• programming skills in Java, including writing, testing, and debugging object-oriented code
• Strong problem-solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to learn quickly in a remote, collaborative environment are essential
• familiarity with AI or data science concepts
• exposure to APIs and web services
• interest in production-grade engineering
• Current enrollment in or completion of a technical degree or coding bootcamp (e.g., computer science, software engineering, or related field)
