We are looking for an experienced AWS Architect to design, implement, and govern scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS architecture, cloud migration, infrastructure automation, security, networking, disaster recovery, and cloud governance. This role requires close collaboration with Engineering, DevOps, Security, Infrastructure, Application Support, and Business teams to drive cloud modernization and operational excellence. Experience in Banking, NBFC, FinTech, or Financial Services is highly preferred.
Design and implement scalable, highly available, secure, and cloud-native AWS architectures.
Define cloud architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on-premises and legacy environments.
Design and manage secure multi-account AWS environments.
Review application architectures and recommend cloud-native solutions.
Design and manage AWS infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, databases, and platform services.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
Establish reusable infrastructure templates and automation frameworks.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance, and reliability.
Implement AWS security best practices aligned with RBI, NBFC, and enterprise compliance requirements.
Design Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, key management, and access control strategies.
Ensure compliance with internal security policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with Security and Compliance teams during audits and risk assessments.
Design highly available and fault-tolerant architectures across multiple AWS Availability Zones and Regions.
Develop Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
Conduct disaster recovery testing and validate RPO/RTO objectives.
Improve platform resilience against infrastructure and application failures.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Drive infrastructure automation and configuration management.
Standardize cloud provisioning and operational processes.
Promote adoption of AWS cloud-native services and automation best practices.
Define monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks using AWS and third-party tools.
Establish operational KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs.
Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, and operational improvements.
Support production teams during critical incidents and major outages.
Monitor and optimize AWS cloud spending.
Implement cloud governance, tagging standards, budgeting, and cost controls.
Recommend right-sizing and resource optimization strategies.
Drive FinOps practices across cloud environments.
Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Product, Operations, and Leadership teams.
Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance.
Prepare architecture documentation, technical presentations, and executive reports.
Mentor cloud engineers, DevOps teams, and technical stakeholders.
Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture and enterprise cloud design.
Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudFront, Route 53, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, and AWS Organizations.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Strong knowledge of AWS networking, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Load Balancers, DNS, and hybrid cloud architectures.
Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, KMS, Secrets Manager, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and compliance frameworks.
Experience designing high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, observability, and cloud operations.
Experience implementing cloud governance, cost optimization, and FinOps practices.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in AWS Architecture and Cloud Engineering.
Proven experience designing and managing enterprise-scale AWS environments.
Experience in Banking, NBFC, FinTech, or Financial Services domains.
AWS certifications such as:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
AWS Certified Security – Specialty (preferred)
Experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and containerized workloads.
Knowledge of serverless architectures and event-driven applications.
Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and ITIL practices.
Experience mentoring technical teams and leading enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.
