Assistant Interior Designer/Project Coordinator

Albanese Construction & Development is a luxury residential construction company specializing in custom homes and high-end renovations throughout South Florida. They are seeking a Design Coordinator to support the design and construction process, coordinate project schedules, and assist with design selections and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate calendars, meetings, showroom appointments, vendor visits, and project schedules for the Owner/General Contractor and Senior Designer/Project Director
• Assist with interior and exterior finish selections, including custom cabinetry/millwork, countertops, flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, paint, hardware, appliances, and other materials
• Research products, gather pricing, request samples, and track lead times
• Prepare and maintain finish schedules, specifications, and selection documents
• Organize project files, drawings, design documentation, and material selections
• Track material orders, deliveries, and project schedules
• Communicate with vendors regarding product availability, pricing, and delivery schedules
• Assist with preparing client presentations, design boards, and selection packages
• Attend client meetings, showroom appointments, and job site visits to support the design team
• Document project updates, design decisions, and meeting notes
• Assist with project coordination and special operational/administrative initiatives as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience in interior design, residential construction, project coordination, or a related field
• Must be able to accurately read set of plans
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD & Adobe Photoshop
• Portfolio of previous design work required
• Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, resourceful, and professional with a client-focused mindset
• Must have reliable transportation for local meetings and site visits
• Candidates must reside in or near the Boca Raton area to attend in-person meetings and site visits as needed
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Canva
