LLM Engineer

Catapult is building an AI powered customer care platform for service businesses. They are seeking an LLM Engineer to help architect and build the AI infrastructure, focusing on context-aware conversational systems and improving customer interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and improve our LLM application architecture
• Build reliable prompting, routing, retrieval, memory, and tool calling systems
• Create structured workflows for complex, multi step customer conversations
• Improve how the AI interprets customer intent and selects the correct response or action
• Develop testing and evaluation frameworks for production AI behavior
• Analyze failed conversations and turn those failures into permanent system improvements
• Work closely with the founders and product team to translate customer needs into reliable AI systems
• Balance response quality, latency, model cost, and operational reliability
• Help establish the engineering standards for Catapult’s AI platform
