Business Development Engineer

Management Recruiters of Zionsville is seeking a Business Development Engineer to join a growing leader in the stormwater infrastructure industry. This role combines technical expertise with business development to influence major infrastructure projects and requires building relationships with consulting engineers, municipalities, and contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, municipalities, regulatory agencies, and customers
• Promote the specification and approval of stormwater products for public and private infrastructure projects
• Provide technical support to the sales team through project reviews, product recommendations, and value engineering
• Conduct Lunch & Learn presentations and technical training sessions for engineers and industry professionals
• Identify upcoming projects early in the design cycle and help overcome technical challenges
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to deliver successful project outcomes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a multi-state territory
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 40%
• Three (3) or more years of experience in civil engineering, stormwater infrastructure, water resources, or technical sales
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or actively pursuing licensure
