VP Product Management

Haptiq is an AI-native enterprise solutions company focused on providing technology for various sectors including private equity. The VP of Product will lead the Orion platform, driving product strategy and execution to enhance portfolio performance through innovative solutions and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for Orion, aligning financial and operational portfolio-performance capabilities with company objectives
• Translate market trends, competitive dynamics, and client feedback from GPs, portfolio operating partners into a prioritized roadmap that balances near-term client commitments with long-term differentiation
• Drive a modular product architecture, a library of reusable components and building blocks that can be configured and deployed across different portfolio companies rather than rebuilt for each one
• Build and present roadmap narratives and business cases to executive leadership, securing buy-in and resourcing
• Understand ERP, CRM, and broader enterprise system integration — the systems of record portfolio companies run on (NetSuite, SAP, Salesforce, HubSpot and similar) and the integration patterns required to pull operational and financial data from them reliably
• Conduct ongoing market and win/loss analysis to identify white space and emerging client needs across PE, growth equity, private credit, and infrastructure strategies
• Serve as the in-house subject-matter expert on private equity portfolio monitoring, financial KPIs (revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, valuation, fund-level performance) and operational value-creation metrics (headcount, pricing, unit economics, ESG, initiative tracking)
• Maintain a working knowledge of the competitive landscape across portfolio monitoring and valuation specialists, as well as adjacent enterprise data and integration platforms, to inform positioning and differentiation
• Bring a working understanding of data orchestration and AI-ready data infrastructure, ingestion and pipeline design, data modeling and standardization, governance and lineage and how those foundations enable analytics and AI use cases on top of portfolio data
• Champion a data-driven, AI-augmented approach to portfolio data extraction, standardization, and analytics, working with data science/engineering to embed automated workflows

Requirements:

• 10+ years of product management experience, including meaningful time owning a B2B fintech, private markets, or enterprise SaaS data product
• Deep understanding of private equity and private capital markets, fund structures, financial statement analysis, and portfolio company operating metrics
• Track record of shipping complex, data-intensive products in close partnership with engineering, data, and design teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial and operational data into clear product requirements and decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the credibility to engage sophisticated private markets investors as well as technical teams
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing multiple workstreams and competing priorities
• Direct experience with portfolio monitoring, valuation, or fund/portfolio company reporting platforms is strongly preferred
• Experience with AI/ML-augmented data extraction, standardization, or analytics products
