Senior Sales Specialist, Separately Managed Accounts

Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC is a leading financial services firm with a commitment to client success. They are seeking a Senior Sales Specialist to partner with financial advisors and guide the implementation of their Separately Managed Account business, focusing on Direct Indexing solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Intermediary wholesaling team and National Account team to achieve sales goals and objectives through effective territory and resource planning and the use of a consultative sales process and other performance improvement systems. Conference and platform on-boarding travel required in addition to travel with regional advisor consultants in territory. Travel required: 10-20% of time
• Partner with portfolio management team and regional advisor consultants in delivering high touch service model in the sales, account opening, maintenance and performance review process
• Maintain and leverage a deep understanding of all accounts/distributors, including specific rules of engagement for distributors. Identify client needs and provide investment and business solutions to the financial advisor

Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services industry
• A minimum of 3+ years sales experience
• Licensing - a combination of series 7 and series 66 or series 7, series 63 and series 65
• Proven ability to build strong relationships
• Demonstrated ability to make successful and dynamic sales presentations
• Previous sales experience with SMAs particularly direct indexing
• Knowledge of tax-loss harvesting platforms and competitors
• Competent at cross channel consultative sales conversations
• CIMA or CFA
