Product Designer

Lumi is a Generative AI company focused on empowering people to create stories, with products used by K12 schools for student comics and graphic novels. The Product Designer will lead Lumi’s design vision and execution, conduct customer research, prototype and test solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver inclusive product experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design vision, strategy, and execution for Lumi
• Talk with a diverse set of customers to understand their needs and develop thoughtfully designed solutions
• Rapidly prototype solutions, validate ideas through user testing, and refine designs based on feedback
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and customer success to design and ship high-quality, scalable, inclusive product experiences
• Contribute to company strategy and product direction
• Communicate design rationale effectively to align stakeholders and guide product direction

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a UX or Product Designer with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex solutions across one or multiple product areas
• Expertise in Figma and prototyping tools
• Strong interaction and visual design skills, with experience leveraging and contributing to design systems
• Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, define problems, and rapidly find solutions
• Experience leading user research and applying insights to inform design decisions
• Remote in the US with quarterly team trips
• Experience with EdTech and designing AI-driven products is a plus
