Senior Software Engineer

Thera is building a platform for remote startups to manage their workforce and is backed by leading investors, including Y Combinator. The Senior Software Engineer will lead full-stack development, integrate in-house and third-party APIs for an HR platform, establish engineering best practices, and collaborate with company leadership on the product roadmap.

Responsibilities:

• Lead full-stack development
• Combine in house and 3rd party API provider functionality to build holistic HR platform
• Define our engineering culture and best practices from the ground up
• Collaborate closely with our CTO and CEO and directly impact product roadmap

Requirements:

• Fast-learner: you are proactive and able to pick up new things quickly
• Builder: you have experience working with Typescript, Kotlin, React.js, NextJS, Spring Boot or similar frameworks
• Product minded: you genuinely want to build something people want, you enjoy talking to users and learning their needs
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Previous experience in payroll / HR tech
• Previous experience building and deploying on AWS
• Previous experience at high-growth, fast-paced startups
