Software Engineer (AWS/Python) - 258638

Medix Technology is hiring a Software Engineer to develop and support applications that help teams work with complex healthcare data. The role focuses on backend features, integrations, production support, and reliable cloud-native systems using Python and AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, serverless functions, and data processing workflows
• Develop application features and integrations using Python, SQL, and AWS
• Work with services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, Glue, S3, RDS/Aurora, and Redshift
• Write and tune SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
• Investigate production issues, fix defects, and improve application performance and reliability
• Contribute to automated tests, GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments
• Collaborate with engineers, product partners, and analysts throughout development and ongoing support
• Apply appropriate security controls when handling sensitive healthcare information

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on software or application development experience
• Strong Python, SQL, and AWS skills, including experience building cloud-native applications
• Experience with relational databases and backend integrations
• Familiarity with source control, automated testing, and CI/CD
• The ability to take ownership of work while contributing closely within an established team
• Healthcare data experience
• medical or pharmacy claims experience is especially valuable
