Customer Service Representative

Janney Montgomery Scott LLC is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to serve as a primary point of contact for customers. The role involves answering questions, resolving concerns, processing requests, documenting interactions, and collaborating with internal departments to improve the customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Answer customer questions by phone, email, chat, or in person in a friendly and professional manner
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and work to resolve issues as quickly and fairly as possible
• Provide accurate information about products, services, orders, policies, and account details
• Follow up with customers when needed to make sure their concerns have been properly addressed
• Process orders, returns, exchanges, payments, or other customer requests accurately
• Document customer interactions and update information in our systems
• Work closely with other departments to resolve customer issues that require additional support
• Stay informed about company products, services, and policies
• Handle challenging conversations calmly and respectfully
• Look for ways to make the customer experience better—not simply complete the transaction

Requirements:

• Previous customer service experience is helpful, but we're open to candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong communication and listening skills
• A calm and patient approach, especially when dealing with frustrated customers
• Good judgment and the ability to solve problems independently
• Comfortable using computers, email, and basic customer service or office software
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team
• A genuine desire to help people
