Freelance UX / Product Designer — DTC Subscription Experience

Stately is seeking a freelance UX/Product Designer with strong direct-to-consumer e-commerce and subscription experience. The role focuses on designing polished, developer-ready landing pages, customer portal features, checkout optimizations, and interactive shopping experiences, while using data and testing to improve conversion and collaborating with UX, marketing, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design and prototype high-converting landing pages and funnel flows
• Support UX for interactive customer experiences — personalization tools, outfit builders, package previews
• Create intuitive, on-brand layouts and micro-interactions
• Collaborate with our UX Lead, marketing, and engineering — you connect your work to growth outcomes, not just aesthetics
• Use data and testing (GA, Clarity, A/B results) to identify opportunities and refine UX pre- and post-launch
• Contribute to and evolve our design system across all customer touchpoints
• Own projects end-to-end — requirements through final, polished, developer-ready design — you're not handing off wireframes for someone else to beautify

Requirements:

• 5+ years of UX/Product Design at recognizable DTC or e-commerce brands at scale, ideally subscription — with measurable CRO results you can speak to
• Strong Figma skills: wireframing, prototyping, developer-ready specs with edge cases considered
• High visual design bar — you deliver polished, final-quality designs, not wireframes or rough UX that needs to be beautified by someone else
• Experience running or informing A/B tests/CRO programs alongside growth and marketing teams
• Experience with subscription, membership, or account/retention-focused experiences
• Experience with personalized shopping, guided selling, quiz, or configuration experiences
• Comfort using data, session recordings, and test results to inform design decisions
• Collaborative, responsive, detail-oriented
• Daytime PST availability for weekly sync + Slack
• Portfolio required — DTC/e-commerce work with role, problem, and results where available. Applications without a portfolio won't be reviewed
• Familiarity with Shopify or Recharge
