Cyber Security Engineer

Enterprise Solutions Inc. is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for a contract role supporting healthcare application development. The role involves building applications and new features within an Agile team, integrating REST APIs with Python, and working with multiple security platforms and tools.

Responsibilities:

• REST API Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting REST APIs
• Must be able to read API documentation, construct API calls, and understand authentication mechanisms (OAuth, API keys, bearer tokens)
• Python Programming: Practical, production-ready Python experience for building tool integrations and automations
• Security Tool Familiarity: Hands-on experience with at least three (3) of the following platforms: Tenable Nessus or Tenable VM (vulnerability management) Imperva WAF (web application firewall) Brinqa (security orchestration, automation, and response – SOAR) Synopsys Polaris or similar SCA tools (software composition analysis)
• Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (EDR/MDR) Crowdstrike Falcon or Falcon Shield (endpoint protection/detection and response)
• IBM Guardium (database activity monitoring and security) Trend Micro VisionOne (threat intelligence and incident response) Zscaler ZIA or ZPA (cloud-based security – optional but valuable)

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting REST APIs
• Must be able to read API documentation, construct API calls, and understand authentication mechanisms (OAuth, API keys, bearer tokens)
• Practical, production-ready Python experience for building tool integrations and automations
• Hands-on experience with at least three (3) of the following platforms: Tenable Nessus or Tenable VM (vulnerability management) Imperva WAF (web application firewall) Brinqa (security orchestration, automation, and response – SOAR) Synopsys Polaris or similar SCA tools (software composition analysis)
• Security engineer with Python and API integration experience
• Engineering Degree – BE / ME / BTech / M Tech / B.Sc. / M.Sc
• Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable
• Zscaler ZIA or ZPA (cloud-based security – optional but valuable)
