Director, Security Engineering

ECS, also known as Everforth ECS, solves complex cybersecurity and technology challenges for commercial, government, defense, and intelligence customers. The Director of Security Engineering will lead the security engineering team, define technology strategy, oversee security platform implementations, and provide technical leadership for managed cybersecurity services. The role also involves customer engagement, team management, automation, modernization, and cross-functional delivery oversight.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing security engineering team
• Define the technical strategy, architecture standards, and roadmap for our security platforms
• Oversee the design, deployment, integration, and lifecycle management of technologies including SIEM, EDR/XDR, DLP, network and cloud security, and security automation
• Identify and implement practical applications of AI across security engineering operations to improve engineering efficiency, accelerate troubleshooting and analysis, automate repeatable workflows, and enhance the scalability of managed services
• Review complex technical designs and serve as the senior escalation point for engineering and customer issues
• Lead engineering efforts for customer onboarding, platform deployments, migrations, service expansions, and modernization initiatives
• Work directly with customers to understand requirements, present architectures, explain technical decisions, and resolve concerns
• Partner with Security Operations, Sales, and the PMO to ensure solutions are delivered successfully and can be effectively operated and supported
• Drive automation, standardization, platform reliability, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization
• Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors and make recommendations on adoption, modernization, and retirement
• Manage engineering priorities, staffing, hiring, performance, professional development, and delivery risk
• Support solution development, technical proposals, and strategic customer engagements
