Business Solutions Analyst

The Business Solutions Analyst partners with business teams to design and implement moderately complex data-centric solutions, develop analytics and data integration strategies, and improve reporting, dashboards, and data quality. The role also collaborates with IT, Underwriting, and other stakeholders to define requirements, resolve data issues, and deliver business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Develops moderately complex value-based analytics solutions for quality, business process functionality, or other strategic/data/analytic initiatives of moderate complexity
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and establish analytics requirements
• Creates detailed documentation and business plans that address stakeholder needs
• Liaises between IT and Underwriting for data solutions
• Trusted business partner working with business leaders and cross-functional teams to identify key challenges and work on resolutions with the goal of improving organizational performance
• Develops and implements moderately complex enterprise-wide data integration strategies that utilize various data-marts and data warehouse applications to enhance reporting
• Continuously works to improve data platforms, dashboards, and reports to meet emerging and changing business demands and guidelines
• Consults with limited guidance from Principal on UAT, technical specifications, strategic planning, contract design, technical support, testing updates, and trainings
• Uses intermediate understanding of data elements, structures, standards typically involved in financial services transactions, reporting, and cloud-based data storage/sharing to adopt and apply standards in a way that satisfies and balances regulatory and compliance requirements with business needs
• Manages data from multiple sources and uses project management skills to complete moderately complex projects with minimal coaching and guidance
• Transmits data and proactively works to ensure data quality
• Troubleshoots data issues and devises creative and effective ways to avoid or mitigate issues

Requirements:

• • 3-5 years of related experience required
• • High School Diploma or equivalent required
• • Demonstrated analytical skills
• • Demonstrated problem solving skills
• • Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
• • Possesses strong technical aptitude
• • Intermediate experience with: SQL or similar, dimensional modeling and Power BI visualizations
• • Effective interpersonal skills
• • Ability to influence internal and/or external constituents
• • Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
• Frequently sits for prolonged periods of time, up to a full shift
• Occasionally moves about the workplace including, navigating stairs, ramps, and level or uneven surfaces
• Occasionally moves, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and/or places objects or materials weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
• Frequently uses shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate equipment, tools, and objects necessary for performing job duties

• Rarely performs movements such as bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees
• Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information
• Relies on depth perception and peripheral vision to navigate the work environment visually by identifying barriers, changes in terrain and locating objects
• Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace
