Business Data Governance Analyst

MatchPoint is seeking a senior Business Data Governance Analyst and techno-functional consultant to support a data governance program focused on data lifecycle management. The role leads requirements workshops, defines retention and disposition strategies, partners with Legal and Compliance, and provides strategic guidance to business and technical leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Lead business requirements and discovery workshops across business and technical teams
• Define requirements for data retention, archival, purging, classification, and de-identification
• Partner with Legal and Compliance on regulatory and contractual retention requirements
• Develop retention schedules, policies, and disposition criteria
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions and drive stakeholder alignment
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for technical teams
• Support audits, compliance activities, and data lifecycle initiatives
• Provide strategic guidance to business and technical leadership

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in data governance, data lifecycle management, business analysis, or consulting
• Hands-on experience with data retention, archival, purging, classification, or de-identification
• Strong requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and advise senior stakeholders
• Strong Cyber DLP / Information Security experience focused on data classification and de-identification will also be considered
• Familiarity with HIPAA and state-level insurance data retention regulations
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry preferred
• Familiarity with Collibra, Informatica, or similar data governance tools is a plus
