Business Operations Consultant

Painted Desert Consulting is a Scottsdale-based software engineering firm building and deploying AI systems inside businesses. The Business Operations Consultant will own client problems and solutions end to end, build AI products and operational systems, and turn engagements into repeatable offerings. The role also involves stakeholder partnership, team enablement, and ownership of internal delivery, billing, and client-health infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Own client problems and solutions end to end. Scoping the problem with their leadership, define the solution, build it, deploy it, and drive adoption. You are the technical owner from first call through handoff.Ship
• Take products 0→1. Agentic workflows, RAG systems, recommendation engines, internal pilots, data enrichment pipelines. Building fast, harden what works, killing what doesn't
• Ingest, enrich, classify, and normalize messy client data into something a model can actually reason over. Vector stores, embeddings, evals, the whole path
• Turn one off engagements into repeatable offerings with defined scope, stack, and delivery workflow. So the second client costs us half of what the first one did
• Partner as the Operations voice in the room. Scope calls, solution design, feasibility, and pricing
• Run enablement for our own team tooling standards, internal context layers, working sessions on frontier techniques
• Build our internal systems. Owning the automations, dashboards, and operating infrastructure that keep delivery, billing, and client health visible
