Principal Data Product Manager

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking a Principal Data Product Manager with deep Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) expertise. The role will own the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise data products, define and execute complex integration roadmaps, and lead data integration, transformation, and standardization across healthcare data platforms while influencing executive and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• This person must own the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise data products - from setting the vision and strategy to defining roadmaps and managing delivery
• The candidate must have a proven track record of defining and executing complex integration roadmaps to bring disparate data systems together effectively

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience leading data product initiatives within the PBM space, with a deep understanding of PBM operations, data ecosystems, business processes, and integration challenges
• Strong expertise in data integration, data transformation, data standardization, and enterprise data platforms
• Proven ability to define and execute complex integration roadmaps
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at every level of the organization—from CEO and executive leadership teams to architects, engineers, and operational stakeholders
• Principal Data Product Manager in the PBM space with deep understanding of data platform mechanics, successfully managing the full lifecycle from raw data processing to end-user consumption
• Client is looking for someone who is highly experienced leader with a deep, non-negotiable background in the PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Manager) industry, requiring direct data domain expertise
• They need a technical expert who is exceptionally strong in data integration, transformation, standardization, and working with complex enterprise data platforms
• The candidate must have a proven track record of defining and executing complex integration roadmaps to bring disparate data systems together effectively
• Strong expertise in data integration, data transformation, data standardization, and enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS analytics architectures (e.g., Redshift, AWS Glue) managing complex healthcare datasets (including FHIR, HL7, and NCPDP/EDI standards)
