Project Manager, Field Operations

H&R Block is a tax services company focused on helping and inspiring confidence in clients and communities. The Project Manager, Field Operations leads operational initiatives, coordinates projects and deliverables, improves processes, and ensures field operations has the resources, reporting, knowledge, and tools needed for effective service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with field support leaders, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to develop scalable solutions, improve operational processes, support organizational readiness, and drive continuous improvement
• Be accountable for coordinating projects, managing deliverables, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring the Field Operations organization has the resources, knowledge, reporting, and tools necessary to support field operations effectively
• Serve as a key partner in identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, increase operational efficiency, and support organizational growth

Requirements:

• Travel requirement is less than 10% of the time
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group; ability to lead in a matrix environment and at a distance (virtually)
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group as a member of a team
• Demonstrated decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated effectiveness in presenting complex information to multiple organizational levels, with strong facilitation and presentation skills
• 3 years minimum related work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and product planning tools
• Familiarity with Project Management methodologies
• Track record of establishing priorities and deadlines
• Experience in a consulting environment
• Familiarity with compliance (regulatory, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), etc.) and governance issues
• PMP certification, or equivalent, or completed work towards PMP certification, or equivalent
• Some tax or financial background
