2027 - IT Quality Assurance Tester / Business Analyst Intern

Transcard provides global payment orchestration solutions for banks, fintechs, and businesses. The IT Quality Assurance Tester / Business Analyst Intern will support application testing, business analysis, project delivery, requirements gathering, defect management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in the Operations and IT departments.

Responsibilities:

• The IT Quality Assurance Tester / Business Analyst Intern internship will start with a one-on-one meeting with the Chief Operations Officer or your designated personnel to discuss the professional goal of your academic coursework to ensure you meet all academic requirements during the internship. Additionally, the internship will be supervised by the Operations Leadership to provide routine feedback and status updates. There will be an exit interview with the Operations Leadership and Human Resources for continual improvement of the program. The IT Quality Assurance Tester / Business Analyst Intern internship may provide exposure to a variety of opportunities, such as: mobile app and website design, participation in scrum and design meetings for IT projects, interaction with sales and marketing to review design and workflows of processes as well as other projects
• Learn and participate in front end and backend application testing
• Work with other Quality Assurance Analysts to support testing efforts for projects and software releases, including Integration, System, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing as a part of Agile / Scrum teams
• Document and evaluate test results and defects, track and manage defects, and work with development and business teams to help troubleshoot issues
• Coordinate project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions
• Guide stakeholders through the technical implementation stages, including requirements gathering, solutioning, documentation, configuration, and user acceptance testing to ensure successful project execution
• Track project schedules, identify risks, and support mitigation strategies

Requirements:

• We prefer our interns to be onsite in Chattanooga, TN. We do offer remote capabilities for qualified individuals
• Candidate must reside in the US
• We are unable to offer visa sponsorship
• This intern position will operate Monday-Friday during standard business hours
• Ability to work remotely and independently from direct supervisor as needed
• Must have great time management, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail
• Ability to learn new software systems and testing tools quickly
• Basic understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and/or Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document processes, test results, and defects
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including development, sales, and marketing
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn testing and business analysis best practices
• Completed or currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar
• Preferred: Familiarity with test case management or defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail)
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of SQL or the ability to query and interpret data
