School of Business Part-time Teaching Position in Business Analytics and Operations

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced professional for a part-time faculty position in its School of Business. The role involves teaching a web-based graduate-level course in Strategic Procurement and Sourcing, managing course materials and grades, supporting students, and evaluating academic performance.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver graduate-level instruction on Thursdays, 6:20–9:20 PM, online through the school’s internet teaching platform (ZOOM or TEAMS)
• Manage course content, assignments, and grades through Canvas (the university’s LMS)
• Hold office hours (via ZOOM or TEAMS) to support student learning outside the classroom
• Provide timely, constructive feedback through graded assignments, in-class reviews, and participation
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance

Requirements:

• Professional experience leading procurement and/or sourcing organizations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills developed in a business or corporate setting
• Experience interacting with graduate students in an academic or professional training environment
• Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level
• A Graduate degree in Business or Engineering from an AACSB-accredited institution
