Application Development Engineer – Healthcare

Conventus Polymers LLC is a plastics distribution company that distributes high-performance polymers for engineered applications across multiple industries. The Application Development Engineer – Healthcare bridges engineering and sales by developing plastic solutions for medical contract manufacturers and medical OEMs, driving revenue growth, managing customer relationships, and supporting technical applications.

Responsibilities:

• Identify potential customers, create sales strategies, and achieve sales growth targets in the plastics distribution market
• Manage existing business at assigned accounts, including both molders and OEMs
• Develop and implement strategic account plans related to customers and key prospects within assigned geography and/or markets
• Successfully manage complex commercial relationships, across multiple locations, with the ability to work at all levels of an organization necessary to successfully advance opportunities into new business growth
• Prepare technical documentation, training and presentations for customer consultations on product usage and applications to ensure optimal performance
• Build and maintain relationships with customers to understand their requirements and offer tailored solutions
• Provide Technical assistance to support customers including technical assistance to peers when required, regarding application of plastic material and solutions
• Positively interact with suppliers to encourage and facilitate collaborative growth
• Positively interact with team members to foster cross-pollination within areas of expertise, whether that be products, markets, applications, etc., to assist in growth of the commercial organization and other peer functions
• Keep CRM up to date to manage opportunity pipeline and prospects
• Maintain timely communication with internal stakeholders, project reviews and follow up with customers to progress defined opportunities into sales

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of prior sales and field marketing experience
• Understanding of plastic manufacturing processes and materials
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with a team and with clients
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Understanding of market dynamics in the plastic industry
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Healthcare Resin Sales experience preferred
