Senior Software Engineer - FACTS Financial Aid

Nelnet Business Solutions provides payment technology and education services to higher education and K-12 institutions, students, families, and supporters. FACTS Financial Aid Management is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop products and features for its financial aid solutions, collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, and mentor less experienced engineers. The role involves working in a .NET and Angular environment while applying strong engineering fundamentals and AI coding tools.

Responsibilities:

• Researches, designs, implements and manages software applications
• Partners with Product and Engineering team to define requirements
• Write, test, and implement efficient code
• Review and provide feedback on pull requests
• Use AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow
• Coach and mentor other team members
• Stay positive and solution-oriented with team members and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of related experience
• Strong technical competency, with a logical, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and management on complex issues
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities
• Adapts well to change and focuses on continuous improvement
• To be considered, candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship as security clearance is required
• .NET stack with Angular experience preferred
• AI experience is preferred
