DevOps Engineer

Softshell Services is a specialized consulting firm focused on Nuxeo-based Digital and Media Asset Management solutions. The Senior DevOps Engineer will maintain infrastructure automation, optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, define AI skills, and improve end-to-end test automation, infrastructure reliability, observability, and AI-assisted developer operations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining infrastructure automation
• Optimizing the Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline
• Contributing to defining new AI skills
• Helping improve our end-to-end test automation coverage and efficiency
• Improving Terraform infrastructure
• Reducing infrastructure drift
• Improving observability and reliability
• Automating operational tasks
• Exploring AI harness to empowers developers for better code reviews, code generation, e2e tests generations and templating
• Improve the underlying infrastructure automation
• Help the rest of the dev team leveraging AI agents in their daily tasks

Requirements:

• Looking for a senior DevOps engineer with coding skills and some QA automation experience with strong Terraform and AWS experience to improve infrastructure reliability while incorporating AI-assisted operations
• The ideal candidate has strong communication skills (English) and 3-5 years of experience minimum in DevOps position

• SRE / infrastructure reliability
• Observability and monitoring (Cloudwatch, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Azure DevOps CI/CD
• Infrastructure automation
• Playwright and browser-based automation/testing
• AI coding and developer tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)
• AI agents and LLM-based automation
• Java-based Web app architecture knowledges
• Location: Remote (Candidate can be within the US, Canada or LATAM but must be available during US business hours, within approximately 2 hours of US Central Time)
• 4-month full-time contract, renewable (candidate must be 100% available to this project)
