Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer (GCP and Kubernetes)

AspenView Technology Partners specializes in building nearshore IT teams that help North American clients innovate and operate more efficiently. The Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer will architect and implement Google Cloud infrastructure, automated CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes environments, APIs, observability, and knowledge-transfer materials for client engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build infrastructure as code in Terraform covering GKE, Cloud SQL, GCS, Pub/Sub, VPCs, and IAM
• Architect a multi-tenant environment with strong data and network separation
• Build GitLab CI/CD pipelines from scratch
• Stand up ephemeral environments that deploy an app together with the backend services it depends on
• Eliminate manual steps across environment provisioning and deployment
• Design RESTful APIs and integrate POS APIs and event streams (Kafka / Google Pub/Sub)
• Ensure reliable, well-versioned service contracts
• Package and deploy containerized services using Helm and Docker
• Configure Kubernetes autoscaling, networking, and secrets management
• Support load and performance testing at scale
• Stand up observability, ideally with Grafana
• Document the platform clearly and transfer knowledge so the client's internal team can operate it independently

Requirements:

• 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering, with hands-on production work on GCP and GKE
• proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines from scratch and lead documentation and knowledge transfer to an internal team
• ownership-driven, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable handing off systems you built
• US onshore or able to work US business hours
• Applicants must be permanently authorized to work in their country of residence and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
