Sr IT Project Manager

The Senior IT Project Manager will manage high-risk and regulatory IT projects, oversee project teams and activities, coordinate risks and issues, and report project status and KPIs to IT and bank leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Manage IT projects with a high to critical level of risk / regulatory oversight
• Indirectly manage and/or oversee IT Analysts on project tasks
• Participate in the development, maintenance, and updating of IT Project Management standards and procedure as needed
• Serve as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders to identify, document, and resource requirements
• Manage projects with high-level of Project Management rigor (i.e., PMBoK/industry standards)
• Responsible to ensure supporting Project Collateral is created in adherence to IT Project Management standards and procedures. This will include the creation of the collateral itself
• Positively guide and Influence cross-functional project teams through issue and risk management
• Manage IT technology initiatives from concept through implementation
• Manage multiple projects at any given time and time horizon of projects generally range from medium to long term with little to no supervision
• Oversee daily project activity
• May use traditional waterfall, agile, Scaled Agile, or a mixture of project management techniques
• Identify and coordinate the mitigation of project risks
• Identify and coordinate the resolution of project issues
• Manage and escalate program issues to their IT PMO Manager, Director of IT PMO, and IT Leadership as needed
• Develop and report upon KPIs to IT Program Managers, IT Project Managers, and IT Leadership
• Monitor and report on project status to IT Program Managers, IT PMO Manager, IT Leadership, and Bank Leadership
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• ·        Understanding of project management best practices, methodologies, lifecycle
• ·        Applied knowledge of waterfall and agile project management tools
• ·        Ability to professionally manage self as well as indirectly manage and mentor more junior IT PMO resources
• ·        A strong self-starter, takes initiative, can easily see the big picture to analyze, summarize, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• ·        Demonstrated organizational skills
• ·        Experience with data management, data mapping, data modeling, and governance. Keen understanding of risk management & regulatory demands
• ·        Experience in Information Technology, including medium to high-level of proficiency related to IT terminology, operations, and functions
• ·        A consummate professional, a polished presence with the ability to work effectively cross-boundaries with key stakeholders and the leadership team
• ·        Ability to challenge opinions with confidence and professionalism
• ·        Collaborative style with ability to quickly build trust and credibility
• ·        Need to work effectively in a matrix organization/environment
• ·        Expert PC skills (Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word)
• ·        Experience: At least ten years of proven Project Manager experience required
• Ability to communicate orally with management co-workers, and non-technical stakeholders is important
• Regular use of the telephone, e-mail, and collaboration tools for communication is essential
• Standing or sitting for extended periods is common
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect project collateral
• Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally is required
• Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines or measuring tools is required
• • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: PMP, CSM, and/or SAFE certifications are highly desirable
