Director, Product Management

Vertafore provides digital systems, AI, and data-driven solutions for the insurance industry. The Director of Product Management will lead the strategy, roadmap, modernization, and lifecycle management of Personal Lines Rating and Commercial Submissions products, while partnering with customers, carriers, and internal teams to improve connectivity workflows and drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the product strategy and roadmap for Personal Lines Rating, Commercial Submissions, and related agency-to-carrier connectivity workflows
• Define how Vertafore enables agencies to identify markets, capture risk information, quote, submit, and transact with carriers more efficiently
• Bring customer-driven, revenue-generating software products to market and manage the full product lifecycle from strategy through execution
• Identify opportunities to modernize established products using AI, automation, APIs, structured data, and emerging technologies
• Identify market opportunities through ongoing research and engagement with agencies, carriers, prospects, and industry participants
• Maintain a strong understanding of comparative rating, commercial submissions, carrier appetite, market access, embedded quoting, and carrier connectivity
• Use quantitative and qualitative data to inform product strategy, priorities, pricing, and investment decisions
• Lead product development and launches in partnership with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Carrier Relations, and Product Operations
• Ensure rating and submission capabilities integrate effectively with Vertafore’s broader agency management, CRM, data, and connectivity ecosystem
• Build strong relationships with customers and carrier partners to validate concepts, identify design partners, and drive adoption
• Manage priorities across customer needs, growth opportunities, product modernization, technical dependencies, and longer-term strategic investments

Requirements:

• • Proven ability to develop and execute successful product strategies and roadmaps
• • Strong understanding of complex workflows and ability to translate them into simple, differentiated product experiences
• • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence across a matrixed organization, including senior leaders
• • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to operate at both strategic and detailed levels
• • Successful history of delivering customer-driven software products with measurable business outcomes
• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• ·       Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds
• ·       Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer

• The selected candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• • Prior experience in P&C insurance, agency technology, rating, carrier connectivity, or commercial insurance workflows is strongly preferred
• • Experience with software product management, APIs, integrations, data, or AI-enabled products is strongly preferred
