Financial Data Analyst (Remote)

SecondWind by Joveo is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to bridge financial theory and data engineering by creating automated financial dashboards and managing database pipelines. The role focuses on analyzing financial data, automating reporting, identifying data anomalies, and collaborating with data engineering teams to improve financial data structures.

Responsibilities:

• Extract, clean, and analyze financial data using SQL, Python, or R
• Build automated dashboards in Tableau or Power BI for financial reporting
• Identify anomalies in large financial datasets and propose technical corrections
• Automate recurring manual financial reports to improve operational efficiency
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to refine financial data structures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or Statistics
• 2+ years of experience analyzing large-scale financial data
• Strong proficiency in SQL and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Solid understanding of foundational accounting and financial principles
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable narratives
• Adaptability: Comfort working independently and thriving in a fast-paced, fully remote environment
