Sales Business Development Manager - Splunk (Remote)

Cisco is a technology company whose Splunk business provides unified security and observability solutions. The Sales Business Development Manager will structure complex enterprise sales transactions, lead customer-facing negotiations, manage order document lifecycles, and partner cross-functionally to drive high-margin growth.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and structure complex, multi-year enterprise sales transactions exceeding $1M to accelerate deal velocity while safeguarding business health and margin guardrails
• Lead customer-facing commercial negotiations in partnership with Account Executives, articulating value-based buying programs and innovative consumption models
• Manage the end-to-end order document lifecycle by drafting custom business language and coordinating approvals across Legal, Finance, and Revenue Operations
• Partner with Product Management and Marketing to identify market expansion opportunities, displace competitors, and build a robust pipeline of high-margin deals

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in strategic business development, deal desk, commercial sales operations, or complex deal structuring within enterprise software or SaaS
• Minimum 2 years of direct experience drafting, evaluating, and negotiating custom order documents, enterprise contracts, or commercial terms
• Experience evaluating complex software deal structures against commercial SaaS metrics, including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Total Contract Value (TCV), or incremental Annual Contract Value (iACV)
• Experience participating directly in commercial customer-facing negotiations alongside enterprise field sales teams on transactions exceeding $1M
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical professional experience)
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Management
• Experience developing and deploying flexible software consumption models, enterprise licensing agreements (ELAs), or structured buying programs
• Prior professional background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Pricing Strategy, or Sales Operations analysis within high-growth technology companies
• Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate, and align cross-functional stakeholders across Sales Leadership, Product Specialists, and Corporate Legal
• Hands-on experience utilizing Salesforce (SFDC), CPQ platforms, and automated contract management systems
