Mechanical Engineer

Amentum is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support engineering and infrastructure-related requirements. The role researches and analyzes design data, designs products or systems, and coordinates, troubleshoots, and approves installation activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
• Design products or systems in support of facilities' infrastructure, research, or maintenance requirements
• Coordinate, troubleshoot, and approve installation activities as inspection services to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and specifications
• Safety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. As appropriate, each employee is responsible for completing all training requirements and fulfilling all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and at least 10 to 12 years of job-related experience or equivalent
• Good communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
• Position may require travel
• Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance
• occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
