Project Manager, (Project Manager)

Fearless is a digital integration consultancy that combines technology, people, and organizational development to solve meaningful problems. The Project Manager will lead a large-scale modernization of a public-facing government website, coordinating multidisciplinary teams across requirements, design, implementation, testing, migration, and operational transition. The role also manages stakeholders, project governance, Agile delivery, risks, dependencies, approvals, and customer feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Lead overall project delivery across requirements, architecture and design, implementation, and migration phases
• Serve as the primary coordination point between the delivery team, government stakeholders, and agency IT partners
• Plan and facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirements sessions, planning meetings, design reviews, and demonstrations
• Manage project scope, schedule, dependencies, risks, decisions, and deliverable approvals
• Coordinate work across technical, design, content, accessibility, and migration team members to ensure alignment and progress
• Maintain visibility into progress and surface issues or decisions requiring customer input quickly and clearly
• Manage iterative Agile delivery and ensure customer feedback is incorporated throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate deliverable reviews, acceptance, and phase transitions with government stakeholders
• Support documentation, knowledge transfer, operational transition, and project closeout activities
• Effectively managing and integrating multiple projects, you will deliver impactful outcomes that drive customer satisfaction and account growth
• Enhancing team performance, ensuring that each project is executed to the highest standard
• Contributing to positive net customer retention, reinforcing the organization’s reputation for excellence in the account industry, project assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 7 years of total relevant professional experience
• At least 3 years of experience leading enterprise-wide website modernization or digital transformation initiatives, with that experience occurring within the past 5 years
• Experience supporting at least one government, higher education, or similarly regulated organization project
• Experience delivering at least one Drupal solution hosted on AWS
• Experience leading complex enterprise website modernization, CMS modernization, or digital transformation initiatives through requirements, design, implementation, testing, migration, and production transition
• Demonstrated experience leading Agile delivery, including iterative planning, backlog and dependency coordination, stakeholder reviews, demonstrations, and incorporation of customer feedback
• Experience leading cross-functional teams spanning software engineering, architecture, UX/design, content strategy, accessibility, DevOps/cloud infrastructure, QA, and content/data migration
• Experience planning and facilitating stakeholder workshops, requirements-refinement sessions, planning meetings, design or solution reviews, demonstrations, and decision-making sessions
• Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and changes across complex multidisciplinary initiatives
• Experience establishing and maintaining clear project governance, including decision-making processes, escalation paths, stakeholder responsibilities, and visibility into project health
• Experience coordinating customer reviews and managing deliverables through acceptance criteria, review cycles, approvals, and formal sign-off
• Experience translating business and stakeholder needs into actionable delivery plans and coordinating teams through requirements refinement and implementation
• Experience identifying and managing cross-team dependencies and proactively surfacing risks, blockers, decisions, and customer actions that could affect delivery
• Experience coordinating major implementation milestones, including testing, UAT, migration/cutover activities, production readiness, and transition to operations
• Experience managing project documentation, status reporting, decision tracking, knowledge transfer, and operational transition activities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, content owners, agency leadership, and IT partners
• Knowledge of the concepts, practices, and techniques used to identify, engage, influence, and monitor relationships with individuals and groups connected to a work effort; including those actively involved, those who exert influence over the process and its results, and those who have a vested interest in the outcome (positive or negative)
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings
• Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings, which may involve driving or flying
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills
• Ability to move within an office environment, including reaching for files, using office equipment, and occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds)
• Experience leading Drupal modernization programs or large-scale CMS implementations
• Experience delivering AWS or other cloud-hosted solutions within government or regulated environments
• Experience leading large-scale website content and data migrations involving thousands of webpages, documents, media assets, and redirects
• Experience delivering accessibility-focused digital projects incorporating WCAG 2.1/2.2 requirements throughout design, development, testing, and release
• Experience leading public-sector digital transformation or government website modernization initiatives
• Experience coordinating content governance, publishing workflow, or organizational process transformation as part of a website modernization
• Experience working with formal customer deliverables, acceptance processes, and phase-based approvals
