Project Manager III

The client is a Fortune 500 food distribution company seeking a skilled program manager to support a major operational initiative. The role will lead the setup of a new operational facility, coordinate multiple workstreams and dependencies, manage timelines and risks, and oversee smaller operational projects to ensure successful delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, organize, and manage project teams to deliver measurable business value
• Define project scope, budget, and timeline with a focus on timely value delivery
• Own program management for all workstreams related to a new operational facility setup
• Identify timelines, sequence work, and capture dependencies across workstreams
• Manage issue resolution and prioritize competing needs to ensure successful execution
• Lead smaller operational projects as assigned
• Design and manage detailed project plans to ensure on-time, in-budget, in-scope delivery
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and issues

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in project and program management
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology
• Experience with traditional/waterfall project management approaches
• Background in business process improvement
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• Proven risk and issue management experience
• Skilled in project planning and scheduling
• Experience managing large-scale operational or facility setup programs
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and shifting priorities
• Strong organizational and leadership skills in cross-functional environments
