Business Development & Sales Manager (F/M/X)

Solvay is a pioneering chemical company dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions through chemistry. The Business Development & Sales Manager will develop, promote, and sell rare earth and specialty chemical solutions for permanent magnets and magnetic materials across North America, driving revenue growth and strategic partnerships. The role will collaborate with customers and internal teams on market development, commercialization, technical requirements, and strategic account management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute business development strategies to grow market share and revenue within the rare earth and permanent magnet industry
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with magnet manufacturers, alloy producers, recyclers, OEMs, and key industry stakeholders
• Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer engagement activities
• Collaborate with internal teams to support product qualification, commercialization efforts, and customer technical requirements
• Manage strategic accounts, commercial negotiations, sales forecasts, and long-term supply agreements to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of sales, business development, account management, or commercial experience within the chemical, specialty materials, rare earth, advanced materials, or magnet industries
• Experience working within industrial manufacturing environments and familiarity with material qualification processes
• Knowledge of permanent magnets, magnetic materials, rare earth products, or related technologies is highly desirable
