Microsoft Project Manager, Client Delivery

eSoftware Associates Inc. is a Microsoft partner delivering Power Platform, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Azure solutions to commercial, nonprofit, and public-sector clients. The part-time Microsoft Project Manager will own delivery for assigned client engagements, managing planning, scope, quality, risks, resources, budgets, client communication, documentation, and closeout across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Engagement ownership. you are the named delivery lead and primary client contact on assigned projects, from kickoff through closeout. You lead kickoff meetings, requirements and discovery sessions, and recurring status calls
• Project planning. you build and maintain timelines, milestones, phase gates, dependencies, and resource assignments, and you keep project status current in ESW systems of record
• Quality gates. you confirm the build against approved scope, verify that internal validation is completed and documented before any deliverable reaches the client, and manage client user acceptance testing through to sign-off
• Scope and change control. you identify scope change when it arises, document it, size it with leadership, and obtain written client approval before additional work proceeds
• Risk and issue management. you maintain a current risk status on each engagement, drive mitigation, and escalate to leadership with a recommended course of action
• Resource coordination. you direct developers, solution architects, trainers, and project coordinators against the plan, and you confirm capacity and estimates before committing a date to a client
• Effort and budget management. you track delivered hours against estimate and report variance to leadership while corrective action is still possible
• Client communication. you issue written meeting recaps, status reports, and decision records, set phase expectations with the client in advance, and manage schedule, cost, and scope discussions directly
• Documentation and closeout. you maintain requirements, decisions, validation results, and project records throughout the engagement and complete a documented handoff at closeout

Requirements:

• five or more years managing client-facing technology or software projects end to end, accountable for schedule, scope, and client outcome, in a consulting, professional services, or systems integration environment
• you have delivered projects involving Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Teams, or Azure. You are not expected to build the solution, but you must understand what is being built well enough to plan it, question an estimate, and verify completion against scope
• you have managed multiple active client projects simultaneously, at different phases and for different clients, without loss of visibility on any of them
• you have run a formal change control process, including identifying out-of-scope requests and securing written approval before work proceeded
• you have enforced testing and validation requirements before a deliverable was released to a client, including holding a delivery date when quality criteria were not met
• you have taken an at-risk or delayed project and returned it to plan, and can describe the actions you took
• you can conduct a direct conversation with a client regarding a date, cost, or scope constraint and maintain the relationship
• your status reports and recaps are clear and complete enough for a client executive to act on without follow-up
• you work effectively in a distributed environment with limited supervision and consistent follow-through
• up to 20 hours per week on a schedule agreed in advance, overlapping standard U.S. business hours, with meeting recaps issued within one business day
• working familiarity with SharePoint Online migrations, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Graph, or Entra ID
• experience delivering within a Microsoft partner, reseller, or Microsoft-focused consulting practice
• experience gathering business requirements and contributing scope, assumptions, and estimates to a statement of work
• Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodology applied in a client services setting
• responsible use of Microsoft Copilot or comparable tools to draft summaries, organize documentation, and accelerate reporting
• U.S. work authorization is required
• currently residing in the U.S
• PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, or Microsoft certifications such as MS-900, PL-900, or MS-102
